Many of us have felt the pain of having to discontinue the sport we love. Some big league clubs treat baseball as a business and others, like the Kansas City Royals, want to make sure that the transition from baseball to a player's post-athletic career is as easy as possible. Matt Morizio is a mentor in the Royals' organization meant to help athletes succeed both on and off of the field in the minor leagues. He dives into the mindset of an athlete and how to take care of the money you make - even if you've never gotten a MiLB or MLB check.
This is a good one, you won't want to miss in our return to the podcast world!
